Curious about faith and life?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions to discuss the big questions of life and the message of Jesus in an informal, fun and friendly environment. Alpha consists of 10 sessions, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’, 'Why did he die?' and ‘Why and how do I pray?’, with the option of a day away. Each session starts with a meal and cake. After watching a short talk, there is plenty of time for discussion and questions together.​

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

When and where?
Our next Alpha Course begins on Thursday 25th September 2025. It will take place in the wonderful setting of the Make & Brew coffee shop at St James Road Methodist Church - we are running the course jointly with them.

You don’t have to come for the whole term – just pop along for the first session and see what you think. No pressure.
