After the 10 am and Sunday @ 3 services at St James last week, there was an opportunity to meet and talk with Isaac Robinson who worshipped at St James by the Park as a youngster. He visited Busoga in Uganda this summer and spent time with Eziekiel Nyende visiting the tree planting programs in the area as well as a visit to a FLEP health centre.
People also had the opportunity to purchase seedlings from the tree nursery in Busoga. These will be planted in schools, churches and farming communities and will have many benefits including: helping to reduce soil erosion; shading crops; conserving water; providing fruit; providing timber and delineating boundaries.
An amazing 3,000 seedlings were purchased with half of the amount going to Restore and Renew here and half for the seedlings.
If you missed this at church or would still like to purchase seedlings you can do so here
The seedlings, which will include fruit trees and hardwood trees cost as follows:
£5 buys 30 seedlings
£10 buys 60 seedlings
£20 buys 120 seedlings
