Restore & Renew - April 2026 Update

Key updates:

• The below-ground work has continued, including laying new waste pipes. The main concrete layer on which the flooring will be built has been poured. The next steps will be building up the internal blockwork to first floor level.

• Marie, Dave and Dan had a good meeting with a potential grant-giver.

• As things stand, we’re about £195,000 short of the total needed for the Hall.

• We are making progress with design work for renovation works in the church offices, 133 Church Street - we’ll be able to share these in the coming weeks.

• The builders are very grateful for the Thursday cakes!

Praise God:

• The daffodil afternoon tea raised £400.

Pray for:

• Us as a church to keep our focus on mission through this time.

• Two grant funders as they consider our bids for grants - they could make a massive difference to the current shortfall.

• God to provide all we need for the coming months.

• Continued goodwill and engagement by the local community.

• Some more people to sign up for the continued cake rota!
