Key updates:
Work on the Hall has started! The first part of the building work has been stripping out the kitchen, the large walk-in cupboard, pipework and the ceiling. The air raid warden’s shelter has
been demolished, restoring the St James Road aspect of the building to its original design.
The building will be known as St James by the Park Community Hall when it re-opens.
Two grant-makers are currently considering our applications.
As things stand, we’re about £195,000 short of the total needed for the Hall.
Praise God:
We had an incredible Pre-loved Sale which raised over £2800.
The builders are appreciating the weekly delivery of cakes!
Pray for:
Us as a church to keep our focus on mission through this time.
The Daffodil Cream Tea on 22 March, see here for tickets
Grant funders as they consider our bids for grants - they could make a massive difference to the current shortfall.
The fundraising team considering whether to do a Summer Fair in June.
Clear guidance for the Buildings Team and Church Council as they think about plans for the church office - how much should we do there?
Teams looking at the layout of the kitchen and how the hall is to be managed when finished.
The City Council to look favourably on our proposal for a path across Colebrook Green.
God to provide all we need for the coming months!
