Day 2: Saviour
‘Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you’
Luke 2 v11.
Jesus’ title ‘Saviour’ speaks of His great sacrifice to save us from sin – from its guilt, power and condemnation. This is the salvation we find in Jesus. He has saved and rescued us from so many things – when we reflect on our life’s journey with Jesus, we can pinpoint many times when he has rescued us, and identify specific situations he has rescued us from.
Not only have we been saved FROM the guilt and power of sin and death, but we have been saved FOR freedom and eternal life – hallelujah!
Not only have we been saved FROM the guilt and power of sin and death, but we have been saved FOR freedom and eternal life – hallelujah!
Prayer: My Jesus, my Saviour, there is none like You. I thank and praise You for rescuing me from the power of sin. Fill me afresh with the knowledge of You as my Saviour and remind me of the many ways You have rescued me. Amen.
