Our stories
We’re ordinary people following the extraordinary Jesus together. You can read about the extraordinary Jesus; this page contains some of our stories.
We’ve got people from 0 to 90; people who struggle to feed their families and people who have lots of money; people who can’t read and people who are professors; people with learning difficulties and people with severe mental health struggles; people who’ve spent time in prison, people who’ve moved from overseas and people who’ve lived their whole life in Shirley; people who vote red, blue, green and probably a variety of other colours; people whose sexuality is somewhere on the LGBTI spectrum and people whose sexuality definitely isn’t; people who are tired of life and people who love life; people who are bruised and broken because of the horrible backstories they’ve lived through, and people who seem all sorted and together – but who in reality have their own struggles and issues. The wonderful thing is that Jesus calls each one of us by name. He meets us where we’re at, and he does his work of transforming us slowly but surely to become more like him. Here are some individual stories … |
