Are you feeling weak and exhausted? You're not alone!

Here's a short video to help us find encouragement despite our struggles. You can watch it at whatever time suits you. If you have time, work through the questions below the video. And if you'd like to, listen to some of the songs below to help you seek God in the midst of this fatigue.

Some questions to help you reflect on this video: (or you can download them as a pdf here)

Read 2 Corinthians 12.7b-10

What is my ‘thorn in the flesh’ – something that feels like a weakness, burden or challenge that stops me doing what I think God wants me to be doing?

What is God trying to teach me through letting me have this ‘thorn in the flesh’?

Why might God see your strength as a weakness?

How might his power be made perfect in your weakness?

How might your weakness help God’s plans and purposes, rather than hindering them?

Who have you been honest with about your current struggles?

Get creative
Try doodling or colouring 2 Corinthians 12.9 to help you meditate on it and learn it. See here for some examples and click here if you want to download a simple doodling sheet for printing.
Watch this beautiful video.

Pray
Romans 8 says, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness …”
Admit your weakness to God.
Pray for the Spirit’s help.
Look expectantly for God’s grace and power to be at work in your weakness.

Some songs to help you worship through your weakness. Watch below or listen on spotify
(as suggested by various members of the congregation):

If you would like to join in with a more traditional 'ashing' (putting ashes on your forehead), you can watch the official Church of England service here, with an accompanying order of service here.
