
Monday
• (Sometimes) join 7am prayers for children and young people on Zoom
• Cycle to The Quays then do 40 lengths (1 km) swim then cycle back
• Do bible study (most days) with Tara using Lectio App (or Journey through John)
• Drive to Windsor to do childcare of grandchildren then drove back
• Every 6 weeks attend PCC meeting (read PCC proposals the day before 😊)
Tuesday
• Up at 6:30 for 10k run at 7am around Southampton with friend usually passing people from St James walking their dogs on the way!
• Work remotely at home for ADP during day as Director of DevOps (4 days a week)
• Hobbies – cook meal (Gousto/Hello Fresh) or own recipe plus play piano
• (Sometimes) – Monthly Street Pastor prayer meeting
Wednesday
• Up at 4:45 to catch early train (5:33!) to Bristol for two days in office (stay overnight in hotel)
• Go to gym in evening and/or out with work colleagues for drink or social event
• Grab some food (Wetherspoons) then sleep soundly!!
Thursday
• Up at 6:30 for breakfast (7am) then work at office organising team, managing office politics and sometimes achieving some planned goals
• Work on train home mid-afternoon then go to supermarket or plan grocery delivery
• Watching TV (Tara out at cell group) catching up with family on phone
Friday
• Cycle to The Quays then do 40 lengths (1 km) swim then cycle back
• Usual work at ADP sometimes go to Coffee #1 to “concentrate” without distractions but then meet people I know and get distracted!
• Late afternoon – often meet up with long-time friend to catch up usually at coffee shop or Cowherds
• Watching TV and catching up with family on phone
• Every 6-8 weeks attend Winchester Diocese Synod or House of Laity in Old Alresford
Saturday
• Parkrun on common
• Usually DIY/Gardening/Visit the household recycling and sometimes see Saints match
• Every 4 weeks out at 9pm to lead Street Pastor team through the night returning home about 4:30am!
• Otherwise have meal at friends or watching TV with Tara (usually a crime drama or comedy show)
• Often weekends taken up by visiting family or friends e.g. last week in Kent for meals and walks and to attend Christening service of their grandchild on Sunday in Balham. Week before in Windsor/Oxford to celebrate family birthdays and attend formal meal in college.
Sunday
• If Street Pastor weekend, then sleep in, then write up report for Street Pastor report then treat myself to Sunday afternoon football match on TV then go to evening service at Methodist Church or Highfield.
• Otherwise go to church in morning (usually late) with Tara
• Have “Sabbath” day with Tara taking it easy or relaxing with friends.
