Children welcome in the building!

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me." One of the most painful parts of the covid-19 restrictions for us as a church has been having to bar most children from our in-building services. That has now changed - hallelujah!

Since the pandemic started, we have been running a variety of online sessions for children and young people. More recently, we have started physical meet-ups again for year 6 upwards (contact Josh for more details). We have also opened up the building for some Family drop-in sessions for younger children (contact Rich for more details) as well as releasing the Superstars videos.

We are now able to welcome all ages of children into Sunday services. Here's how it will work:
  • Parents / carers with just a baby under 1 can sit their baby on a lap or in a pushchair;
  • Children aged 8 & older can be sat with their parents / carers, socially distanced as per other households;
  • Families with children aged 2 to 7 will have a mat on which to sit. Please add chairs for the grown-ups to the mat area if you’d like to. Children need to stay with their family group on the mat. We can only safely take 3 such families in any given service at the moment, sadly.
  • When arriving & leaving, going out to the toilet or coming forward to receive communion or prayer please ensure your children stay with you & remain socially distanced from other people not in their household or support bubble.
  • There may be some activities for your children in a red bucket or parcel. Please take any finished pictures/crafts home with you but leave books/pens/streamers to be quarantined.
  • Please feel able to leave whenever you want to, it may be you only stay for the first part of the service. Please don’t come in & out a lot or let your children run around.
  • Please let us know how the experience was for you & your children: what worked and where we could improve.
