The PCC met on Monday evening via Zoom…oh joy!
Georgia spoke through Psalm 23 about Gods peace, protection and love and that Jesus also lived through troubled times of poverty and unrest. When circumstances don’t meet our needs…Jesus does and he restores us.Enabling us to move from survival mode to revival by resting and trusting in him.
Jacqui led us in a time of prayer encouraging us to be authentic, open and honest with each other.
Most of the evening was preparation for the APCM which is next Monday April 4th.
David Philips, treasurer, explained the church finances and was thankful and positive that through an unsettling time of pandemic people had continued to financially support the church.
Lena led us through a safeguarding scenario, this happens at every PCC meeting, which helped to remind us that safeguarding
is a continuing responsibility that we are all involved in.
Dan talked us through his APCM talk about the future of the church, he spoke about active waiting and scanning the horizon.
He spoke about who we could encourage to join PCC and we began to think about how we can equip our leaders and members.
The sale of St John’s is progressing and there will be a bit more about that at the APCM.
