covid in Uganda
We've had strong links with Uganda for many years (see here). Uganda has just gone into a further lockdown – at least six weeks - with all places of education closed along with churches, mosques and other communal gatherings severely limited while transport is heavily restricted.
Andy Taylor asked Chris Kyewe of FLEP (Family Life Education and Planning) about the latest covid situation, and how it is impacting on FLEP's ministry. FLEP is in a bad place financially with donors delaying decisions due to Covid pressures while the British Government’s cut to overseas aid certainly hasn’t helped! To ensure that FLEP can keep providing its services, Enable Busoga (one of our mission partners) has committed to meet their running costs for the next 3 months. Hopefully, this will give them some breathing space to secure some longer term funding.
You can listen to Chris's answers below.
