Would you like to help share the amazing story of Jesus' death and resurrection with local school kids who think Easter is just about bunny rabbits, chocolate and eggs? Read on!

Pre-Covid, churches in the Shirley have been able to put on an Easter Experience for schools in the area.

This year, we are not doing the Easter Experience, but we are doing something that we feel could be just as amazing for the season that we are in.

The Easter Story, Live! will be an interactive storytelling event that will allow the children to have a fun and engaging experience of the Christian story of Easter unfolding around them.

There are many different roles that are needed to help make the event a success:

  • We need people to help with the set-up and take-down.
  • We need a storyteller and actors to act out what the storyteller is saying: disciples, guards, Jesus, women at the cross. The actors don't have to worry about lots of lines to memorize because the storyteller will tell the story, and the actors will simply act out what is being said, with an occasional word or phrase.
  • We need helpers to pass out materials the students need during the story,
  • greeters to welcome students and teachers,
  • IT/Tech support to take care of sound, the powerpoint, etc.
There are so many different ways that you can help, and we'd love to have you on board!

Help is needed during the morning and afternoon from March 22nd to April 1st. To find out more or ask questions, please contact Angel. To sign up fill out the form below.
